BLACKBARN Café and Bar at Chelsea Market is a calm oasis away from the crowds and provides the perfect setting for private events. With an incredible wall of windows that provide beautiful natural light, the space provides an ideal setting for both daytime and evening events.
Since our opening, we have had the pleasure of hosting many special celebrations from showers and birthdays to intimate rehearsal dinners, and we hope your special event will be next. Our amazing events team will help you design the perfect environment for your unique occasion with an ability to host up to 65 guests for a seated event and 115 standing reception style with enticing food choices that range from vegan to gluten-free, to delectable meats.

At BLACKBARN in NoMad, Chef Matteo and I focus on local, seasonal ingredients and create combinations that bring out each products’ best characteristics. We look to produce complexity of flavor while underscoring the beauty of every ingredient. At Chelsea, I have the same goal, but want the menu to have lighter, healthier choices that promote wellness. The cafe has vegetable-based dishes that are just as satisfying as meat dishes, while leaving you feeling healthier and more energetic; I know I feel better after I’ve eaten this way.”
